Physical Healing
A little background first—I’ve had pretty severe pain in the back of my right knee for a number of years. Painful enough to keep me awake at night at times. It seemed to be initiated by being on my feet a great deal, which is part of my job, or sitting for a length of time.
Last Wednesday, January 9th, I was sitting in my car having lunch and my knee was hurting like crazy and I was thinking about the Band of Brothers trip to Costa Rica, planned for November of this year. It’s going to be an outdoor adventure trip with a fairly demanding, for me, physical requirements. I wondered if I would be able to do it. Sitting there, I prayed and asked God, my Father, if I’d be able to do it. I believe that He said it would be “OK”. That gave me peace.
After lunch, I went back to work. After I got inside, I suddenly realized my knee didn’t hurt any more. Not at all. It never just does that. The pain just tends to dissipate over time. I got more and more excited. I started walking around faster and faster and smiling and smiling. It didn’t hurt. It just didn’t hurt any more. I had to tell somebody. I called Jeff Ghiotto, my pastor, and told him about it. I told him I felt like one of those people who you see healed on Benny Hinn’s program where he has them run up and down the stage to demonstrate their healing. I wasn’t running but I was sure moving around good. I just kept walking around and around testing it. No pain. I had been healed.
My knee has not hurt since. Thank you, Poppy. That’s the name I usually use when I talk to my heavenly Father, since I’ve gotten to know him more as my involved, perfect Dad.
