WHERE WE’VE BEENIn the fall of 1994, a small group of people were sent out from the Tampa Vineyard Christian Fellowship to plant a church in Pinellas County. We started meeting in a rented business center on Sundays, and focused on building relationships and small groups. In August 2001, our founding pastor, Jon Sterns, was called by the Lord to take a position at another Vineyard in California, and our congregation blessed him and his family in their pursuit of God’s will. Since that time, we have adopted a plurality/team model of leadership serving with Jeff Ghiotto acting as the lead pastor/coach.
WHERE WE AREIn February of 2006, we moved into our current facility in the Highpoint neighborhood where we have served for a number of years. We are blessed to have our own building now, where we host several other groups such as Spanish speaking churches, tutoring programs, after school care, and AA groups. Come and see for yourself! In addition to our Sunday morning services and weekly home group meetings, we offer a variety of other ministry opportunities. On many occasions, we have special events such as conferences, outreaches, and guest speakers.
WHERE WE’RE GOINGIf you hang around us long enough you’re sure to hear people talking about “the Kingdom”. The Vineyard movement has always held "advancing of the Kingdom of God" as it’s primary mission and purpose. Simply put, God’s Kingdom is wherever He rules and His will is done. We advance His Kingdom by engaging in meaningful worship, praying for the sick, and seeking to live our lives as His disciples. We engage our culture in business and the marketplace and we want to be good stewards of the environment he has trusted to us. We believe God’s blessing and will is for us to continue serving our neighbors. Our involvement in international missions continues to grow through relationship within and outside of the Vineyard. As God continues to bring people to us we will continue to adapt to meet their needs and help them to grow in their giftings.
