Leadership in the Clearwater Vineyard is based on Jesus’ model of servant leadership. We derive this concept from His life, His example and His teaching. In John 13 we see Jesus our leader laying down his title and taking up a towel with which he washed the disciple’s feet. That is what we are pursuing. We want to be servants who lead not leaders who serve. We also follow his model of team. Jesus was always working with and through his team, the 3, the 12, the 70, the 120. We believe this is not only a biblical example but a modern strategy to care for God’s people and see his kingdom extended. We are brothers and sisters and we are also friends. We enjoy hanging out together and sharing the load of ministry. Each person in our pastoral team is uniquely gifted with certain talents and experiences. We all have strengths and weaknesses. Where one is weaker the other is stronger which brings the level of ministry much higher. We do exponentially together what we could never do alone. This synergy is for the well being and protection of this church body.  We are intentionally trying to shift the paradigm of the one man show and pastor centric church life. We believe the Bible teaches that ministry comes from the body of Christ which our team is called to equip, empower and care for. Some of us may be better at public speaking and teaching and some are better at behind the scenes administration or prayer but whatever is going on we are functioning as a team of men and women committed to one another, this church and the Kingdom of Jesus.  Everyone wins when we don’t care who gets the credit or glory. It’s all about Jesus and His Story, not us.
